Winter is certainly here: It was 9-degrees Fahrenheit in Times Square on New Years Eve, making it the second coldest New Year's Eve ball drop on record in New York. Why not embrace it? Let yourself connect to the season by creating an enchanting look that blends perfectly with this weather: The snow goddess look! Using our eco-friendly, all-natural products, you will look like you just stepped out of a fairy tale. Here's how you can get the look for yourself.
First up: Lets focus on the eyes. For this look, we want them to resemble a fresh bank of snow. Start off by applying our snow eye shadow to the inner corner of your eyes, then blend out to cover the rest of your eyelid with it. As you get to the outer corner of your eye, lessen the amount of eye shadow you use so that it looks more natural and slightly faded.
Next, using our charcoal makeup balm, apply some liner to your lids. This will help your eyes stand out even more. Just line the tops of your lids as close to your lash line as possible and stop at the outer corner of your eye. If you're feeling daring, go ahead and flick it out as soon as you get to the outer corner of your eye. Eyeliner will help capture the bold, moody darkness of winter.
Now, to top off your eye makeup, add some plant shadow mascara. Just one or two coats should do the trick and make your eyelashes nice and dark. This will complement the white, snowy look on your eyelids.
To get that winter-flushed look naturally, we recommend our beet root blush powder. You don't need much: Simply dab some onto your cheeks and blend using a fluffy brush. This will give you rosy cheeks only time spent in the cold could compare to.
Next, add some highlight to your cheek bones with our frost glitter wand. This will make you look as though your skin is frosty from time spent playing in the snow. Simply add two or three dabs onto your cheekbones and gently blend in: It should not mix with your blush, but instead, sit above it.
A snow goddess' lips always have a beautiful flush to them. We recommend our blood orange lip tint for the job: It's moisturizing – which is exactly what a snow goddess would need. Also, blood oranges are a winter fruit, making this lip tint all the more fitting to wear. Apply a lot for a deeper lip color, or less for a subtler tint.
To give your skin a wintery glow (like that of an icicle or frozen lake) try our coconut body shimmer. You will look as though you just walked through a snowy wonderland and the snow embedded into your skin. Use a fluffy makeup brush to apply it to dry skin on the areas of choice like your neck, chest plate, shoulders and legs.
