Tired or stressed out? Need to feel rejuvenated? A bath can help, but you need to do it the right way. Here are 5 tips for creating the ultimate bathing experience.
Kick everyone out of the house
Solidarity is key to a successful bath. As your significant other to take the kids out for a treat. If that's not an option, pick a time of day when everyone is out of the house and you can unwind. It's important to enjoy your own company and be alone with yourself. Also, even if you don't have kids, your house can get pretty noisy because of outside activity, so try to pick a time of day where neighborhood noise has died down. You'll thank yourself later.
Shut off your phone
Do something so many people nowadays cannot do: Shut off your phone. Can't bear to go that far? Put your phone on mute or leave it in another room. It is so important to detach from your phone nowadays and disconnect for an hour or so. The world won't collapse because of one missed text.
Put on some music
Find a playlist that consists of relaxing spa sounds. Turn it up, but not too high. Using an MP3 player, radio or google home for this works well. If you truly have nothing else, it's okay to use your phone for music, as long as you leave it the ringer on mute and somewhere far away from the bathtub. Music will help take your mind off of any negative thoughts you may have, or to-do lists burdening your soul. It will help give a wandering mind something positive to focus on.
Light some incense
Incense not only smells amazing, but can also help further your relaxation. Try burning one of our incense cones: Our most relaxing scents are lavender + frankincense and chamomile, but we also have pink rose, white rose and wild rose incense cones. Any of these scents would help make your bath time a luxurious, soothing experience. You'll feel like you're in a field of wildflowers, bathing in the warm summer sun. As a bonus, our incense cones come in an eco-friendly box: All packaging is made out of recycled material and is compostable too.
Add some bath salts or bathing flowers
Who could deny that adding bath salts or bathing flowers to the bath is a good idea? Not only will it make your bath smell amazing, but it will also help to further de-stress you. Our Rainbow Flower Bathing Salts is a good choice: A soon as you open it, you'll be greeted by the intoxicating scent of rose lavender. You'll only need to add a tablespoon or two for a relaxing bathing experience. Plus, the flowers will make your bath look all the more enticing! If you don't prefer salts in your bath, try our Wild Bathing Flowers instead. Their beauty and fragrance are sure to calm you. Both products come packaged in reusable glass jars too!
